Parents' Teacher Association

What do we do?

WJS is proud to have a very active and friendly Parents' Teacher Association.  Parents and teachers work together to organise a range of events and activities to fundraise for the school.  We believe this helps create closer links between home, school and the local community and therefore, enhances the experience the children have whilst attending our school.

Why should I join the PTA?

We welcome any parent that would like to be involved.  Parents can contribute greatly to their children’s education as well as building their own relationship with the school.  Helping with the PA is a great way to do this by meeting new people, socialising and getting more involved.  Fundraising enhances school life and provides a variety of resources, equipment and experiences for our children.  Over the last couple of years the children have benefitted from new markings on the playground, picnic benches, portable piano, 3d printer, sports vests, IPads, a new look library, science day, art day and long jump pit all fundraised by the PA.

What have we achieved this term?

A huge thank you to everyone who donated gifts, wrapped presents, bought tickets, and cooked and served so many hotdogs for our double PTA festive event last Friday.  Across the two schools, the Elfridges Gift Store and Festive Movie night raised over £1,200 towards events and facilities for your children in the coming year.
